The “Experience Campus Life Before The Exam” Project (Tercihten Önce Üniversiteni Yaşa Projesi (TÖÜYP)), which will be implemented for the first time in the Fall Semester of the 2025-2026 Academic Year, is carried out in cooperation with Bursa Technical University and the Bursa Provincial Directorate of National Education. Over 2,500 students across Bursa applied to the “Experience Your University Before Choosing” project, which allows 11th and 12th-grade students to experience university and campus life without taking the university entrance exam. Placement was based on students' GPAs, and 300 students were eligible to receive one month of education at BTÜ, while another 300 were selected as reserve students. The project, which offers high school students a great opportunity to make the most critical decision of their lives, allowed them to apply to all departments at BTÜ. In this context, 170 students were placed in the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences, 60 in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, 30 in the Faculty of Architecture and Design, 20 in the Faculty of Forestry, and 20 in the Faculty of Maritime Studies. As part of the project, 12th-grade students will study in their assigned departments at BTU in November, and 11th-grade students in December. They will have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with university life by taking advantage of campus facilities such as laboratories, a library, workshops, and a dining hall. An orientation program will also be held before the program to help students adapt to the university environment. 12th-grade students will receive information at the orientation program, which will take place on Wednesday, November 5th, and 11th-grade students will receive information at the Turkuaz Hall on the Mimar Sinan Campus on Wednesday, December 3rd.
